What To Bring

E-mail Print PDF

To make sure you bring everything you need, please read the following carefully and this will help you when it comes to packing for your trip. The guiding principal when packing should be to remember that if you pack it you will have to carry it so if your not sure whether something is required please check with us.

  • Old Warm clothing: While participating in the activities it’s better to use tracksuits/warm fleece tops. Sometimes things can get mucky, so it is preferable to bring old clothes. We would suggest you avoid jeans as they just won’t be warm enough.
  • Heavy socks: These will come in handy if it gets cold in the evenings.
  • Footwear: If possible, a pair of sturdy walking boots are ideal to bring. If you don’t have any, a pair of runners is fine as long as they have laces. Also, open-toe shoes are not appropriate for our activities.
  • Toiletries: We do not supply toiletries.
  • Insect Repellent and Sunscreen: Two must have items - especially if you are visiting us during the summer months.

This list is provided as a guide to help with packing. A complete printable equipment checklist of what to bring is available for download. Some of these items are required while others are 'nice to haves'. If in any doubt please contact your expedition leader or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
